We are delighted to announce the successful completion of the CIC Technical Workshop on R.A. No. 9510, also known as the Credit Information System Act (CISA) of 2008. The workshop was held on June 27-28 at City Garden Suite Manila and marked a significant milestone for our cooperative community.

With 29 member-cooperatives ready to take a big step towards becoming Submitting Entities in Production, this workshop provided invaluable insights and practical knowledge essential for navigating the complexities of the Credit Information System. The event was a testament to our collective commitment to enhancing financial transparency and accountability within the cooperative sector.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed resource speakers from the Credit Information Corporation (CIC) who shared their expertise and guided us through the intricacies of the CISA:

  • Atty. Philip Gerald S. Fulgueras, Attorney IV
  • Atty. Jacques Michele Obias, Attorney IV
  • Jocelyn Ibañez, Senior Events Associate
  • Victoria Ualat, Data Controller IV
  • Rayson Rivera, Data Controller IV

Their contributions were instrumental in making the workshop a resounding success. The sessions covered a range of topics, including the legal framework of the CISA, the technical requirements for data submission, and best practices for ensuring data accuracy and security. Participants engaged in interactive discussions and hands-on activities, gaining a deeper understanding of their roles and responsibilities as Submitting Entities.

We also want to extend our appreciation to all the participants for their active engagement and commitment throughout the workshop. Your enthusiasm and dedication are truly commendable, and we are confident that you will successfully implement the knowledge and skills acquired during this event.

As we move forward, we are excited about the positive impact this workshop will have on our cooperative community. By becoming Submitting Entities, our member-cooperatives will contribute to a more robust and reliable credit information system, ultimately benefiting the entire financial ecosystem.

Thank you once again to everyone who made this workshop a success. We look forward to your continued support and collaboration as we embark on this new journey together.
